Physical Description

Breech system similar to XII.252. In this case the pan and frizzen are attached to the barrel, the cartridge being positioned in the chamber by means of a lug on the left of the base which fit into a slot in the breech and which also serves as a means of extraction. The breech lever consists of a press-stud positioned on the false-breech. Back-action lock with rounded lock-plate and cock, slightly engraved with scrolling foliage. Brass mounts.
