Physical Description

There are 17 arrows in this set. The shafts are of bamboo that has had little smoothing of the nodes. The nocks are of wood, large and bulbous and not painted red inside like most Indian arrows. The region from the nock to below the fletchings is rather crudely painted, the nock being gold, then a narrow band with diagonal marks in red, a wide band of green and a wide band of gold / red. At the footings is a wide deep band. The points are elongated and square in section, the exception being two arrows with heads of lozenge section with flats and another with a long cylindrical head with a faceted point. The fletchings are cut higher than most Indian arrows.

Dimensions: The length of an arrow is 775 mm, the fletchings being 117 mm and the length of the head being about 50 mm. Weight: The weight of a typical arrow is .044 kg.
