Physical Description

Single edged flat-sided shamshir blade with no markings and no patterning evident. The khandha hilt is of plain iron, the guard with small raised edges within which is a narrow engraved roping. The arms are shaped as scrolling tendrils and the faces are engraved with foliage and a floral diaper. The grip is bound with thread, Cup shaped pommel with a large dome terminating in a facetted spike towards the base of which is a dentated disc.

Dimensions: The overall length of the sword is 1045 mm whilst the blade is 810 mm long. Weight: The sword weighs 1.450 kg.
