Physical Description

The case is made from a number of flat longitudinal strips of wood glued edge to edge and covered in red velvet. The seams are covered with a looose braid made up from black and gold threads. Around the case is a wide red velvet collar, that has its lower edge cut in a zig-zag. A suspension loop is attached to the collar, also covered in velvet, The top is turned from wood, painted red.
