Physical Description

The blade is single edged and slightly recurved having a heavily punched mark in a rectangular cartouche with an inscription ans decorative finials at either end. On the reverse is a six pointed star in a circle with foliate decoration on either side. At the top of the blade is a heavily gilt bolster of roccocco ornament. The hilt is formed of horn grips inlaid with millfiori decoration, and brass mounts.
