Physical Description

The blade is single edged and only slightly curved in one direction only. There are narrow fullers that run down both sides near the back edge, the back itself being cut with a zig-zag pattern. The bolster and hilt are of silver, rather crudely embossed with flowers and military trophies between foliage and C scrolls. The wood scabbard is covered with silver, the upper part being occupied by 15 raised silver bands with smaller bands between. Below the bands the scabbard is fitted with a small side loop and is embossed with sailing ships, flowers and trophies of arms amid shells and C scrolls. The tip of the scabbard is formed as a monster's head.
