Physical Description

The blade is broad and slightly curved, with a fuller near the back. The hilt is of Indo-Muslim form, in gilt copper decorated with a floral pattern on a fish-roe ground. The pommel is dished, and there is a knuckle bow attached to the forward quillon. The scabbard is of wood covered with crimson velvet, and terminating in a small gilt copper chape.


Dimensions: The length of the blade is 752 mm. The length overall is 876 mm. The length of the scabbard is 784 mm. Weight: The weight of the sword is 0.820 kg. The weight of the sword and scabbard is 0.910 kg.
