Physical Description

The case is circular in section, tapering and widening towards the bottom, now missing. Around the black lacquered body are two raised bands, gilded, that carry iron suspension rings. The top slides over the upper part and is similarly constructed. On top of the lid is a metal stud. The edges of the lid, base etc are gilded and there are pairs of grooves running around these borders.
