Physical Description

This armour is for the left arm and is of tubular form of watered steel with a border of floral pattern in koftgari. The fastening was by narrow straps (now missing) with small oval buckles and loops. The large hand guards are of fine butted mail of iron rings with a diaper of brass lozenges mounted upon quilted fabric and lined with red cotton material.

Dimensions: The length of the main plate is 320 mm, its width is 89 mm, the length of the inner plate is 132 mm, the overall length being 506 mm. Weight: The weight of the armguard is 0.7 kg.
