Physical Description

Comprises a rectangular piece of leather covered on the front with red velvet elaborately embroidered with a leaf pattern in metallic yellow thread, forming nine pockets. Each pocket holds an ivory cartridge, cylindrical in shape with a domed stopper having a green stained border and a carved lotus finial. The backing, which presumably held loops for attachment to a belt, is missing.

Dimensions: length 250 mm, width 110 mm. Each ivory cartridge is 105 mm long. Weight: The weight of the object is 0.5 kg.
