From the Indian disarmament in 1859. Presented by the Indian Government in 1861, (Hewitt 1870) Formerly XV.104 lent to the British Museum in 1914 and subsequently returned.

Physical Description

Full stock of English form with a checkered wrist and iron furniture. The escutcheon plate is shaped and engraved with foliage, as is the bow of the triggerguard. The lock is fitted with a round faced swan necked cock and is engraved with a false maker's name. Long iron barrel with engraved arabesque shapes at breech and muzzle joined by two lines. There is a ramrod of iron.
