Physical Description

Simple flat sided single edged blade, curving slightly towards the clipped point. Below the point section there is a deep indentation from which springs a downturned hook The blade merges into an octagonal section above a moulding, below which is a further octagonal section, a further moulding and then the socket. The shaft is of stained wood, round in section and furnished with a simple brass band at the butt.
