Physical Description

The blade is curved, and single edged becoming double edged near the tip. The blade get wider where it becomes double edged. The langets end in onion shaped finials. The quillons are short and stubby. The hand guard and knuckle bow are padded with red velvet on a leather backing, this is secured to the handguard by pins. The pommel is flat with bent finial.


Dimensions: The length of the blade is 733 mm. The overall length is 883 mm. _ Weight: The weight of the sword is 1.385 kg.

Inscriptions and Marks

Arabic inscription in square. On either side there is a mark of European character, possibly German; a ring with four prongs.
