Physical Description

Shamshir blade, curved and single edged, decorated with sunk ovoid panels with Hindu divinities in relief, highlighted with gold koftgari. Twelve panels on each side, plus a panel of foliate scrolls under the langets. The langets have pierced onion-shaped finials. The hilt is decorated with a four petal flower diaper in gold koftgari.The quillons are flat sections ending in knob. The pommel is a flat disc with a small dome terminating with a pivoted loop for a sword knot. Wood scabbard covered in red velvet, with koftgari decoration on the metal chape.
