Physical Description

The blade is flat sided, single edged, with a straight cutting edge, the back curving to meet it at the point. It is fitted to a standard basket hilt, profusely decorated with gold koftgari, that retains its red velvet lining. The disc pommel differs from normal in being teardrop shaped. The scabbard is of wood covered with green velvet having two raised ribs near the throat.


Dimensions: The length of the blade is 795 mm, the overall length of the sword being 988 mm, the length of the scabbard being 815 mm. Weight: The weight of the sword is 0.99 kg, the scabbard being 0.09 kg.
