Fitted with ring-necked cock. Stocked to 4 1/8 inch of the muzzle. The original browned finish remains. Brass furniture. Steel ramrod. Front swivel missing. Middle screw on buttplate missing. Muzzle slightly broken out at mouth

Barrel stamped on left of breech with crowned GR over Broad Arrow and crown over crossed sceptres. Stamped on centre of barrel near pan: WD . Stamped on right by pan: crown over 1[9] (i.e. crown over 19, the 9 worn and uncertain, and RV next to it. Lockplate engraved with royal cypher and TOWER, and stamped with crown over Broad Arrow. Sideplate flat stamped: F, and another F repeated on stock in front of flat.Ramrod groove: rear section: [I]N (i.e. IN, the I uncertain, possibly H). Ramrod stamped: crown; [HS] (i.e. HS but could be SH); possibly another uncertain mark
