Physical Description

This helmet has a deep rounded skull with an applied knobbed terminal and lower band, brazed to the skull with copper. Both are chiselled with floral and foliate ornament as are the small hinged cheek pieces. At the front is a hinged staple for the attachment of a nasal (missing) and above this is a gold inlaid trident of Siva.

Dimensions

Dimensions: the diameter of the bowl is 210 mm and the overall height is 270 mm. Weight: the weight of the helmet is 1.505 kg.
