Physical Description

Of tubular form secured around the arm with removable hinge pins, the lining is extended to form hand guards covered with crimson velvet richly embroidered with gold and silver orris thread and gold spangles. All the plates are richly bordered with floral and foliate ornament in gold koftgari work. Decoration on piece varies from remainder of armour.

Dimensions

Dimensions: The length of the outer plate is 330 mm, the length of the inner plate is 134 mm, the overall length being 475 mm. Weight: The weight of the right armguard is 0.95 kg, the left being 0.9kg.
