From Malta, 1826. Re-accessioned from Middle Flint Tower (1987). Probably from one of the armours formerly on loan 7 to Dover Castle (II.53-62).

Physical Description

Articulated at the belly, With two fauld lames, and moveable gussets at the arm-holes. The neck and arm openings have heavy roped inward turns. the breast is decorated with a pair of volutes. The breast has been releathered. Two rectangular plates have been used to repair the right ends of hte fauld plates, on one more to repair the left end of ht elowest fauld plate. Associated with backplate III.2579.
