Physical Description

With a raised neck and medial keel terminating in a point at the waist, which dips down to the centre and has a narrow flange. The neck and arm edges are inwardly turned. At either arm is a mushroom headed stud for the shoulder straps.

Inscriptions and Marks

At the neck, stamped, combined HK for the maker. Inside the flange, an incised inverted V. Inside the right shoulder, eight triangular punch marks. Inside a painted 87 in orange.

Notes

Possibly a pair to III.2028 which has a quite different maker's mark. The painted 29 also appears on III.2028, suggesting that they have been shown together for a long period.
