Physical Description

With a raised neck and medial keel terminating in a point at the waist, which dips down to the centre and has a very narrow flange. The neck and arm edges are inwardly turned. At either arm is a mushroom headed stud for fastening the shoulder straps. It is pierced low at the left side edge. There is a shallow proof mark at the left.

Inscriptions and Marks

At the neck, stamped with a helmeted A for the Armourer's Company of London. At the right of the flange is stamped EO, inverted, for the maker, Edward Oxenton.
