The lock is of type 5 design with a pivot catch. It is held in place by 2 sidenails. The front sidenail is a wood screw in this stock. The sear spring is missing. This pistol has been entirely restocked and has a replacement ramrod. The tapered octagonal barrel is held inplace by 1 pin although there is probably a second
