Physical Description

The lock is an English lock but the exact internal design cannot be determined as the 2 sidenails are riveted over. The lockplate is drilled for 3 sidenails.


The stock has been entirely restored and has a fishtail butt. There is a ramrod whose tip is missing which may be original


The barrel has an octagonal breech which extends for 10 3/4 in. at which point there is a baluster. After this the barrel is round. There is an open V backsight and a bead foresight. The barrel is held in place by 3 pins
