Physical Description

The blade is down-turned with a straight edge and semi-circular cut out in the lower flat. The socket is square. The blade is decorated in gold overlay with flowers in fine scrolling foliage, and in an interlaced panel on the sides of the socket. The haft is of round sectioned steel tube, with a moulding below the head and a washer and tang-button above. At the base is a small, moulded terminal with an onion-shaped finial.
