Physical Description

The blade is of flattened lozenge section with almost parallel sides and a blunt point. At the base it is rounded and joined to a square sectioned socket, set on a diagonal to the blade, with a narrow beading around the top and bottom. The head is riveted to a pale wooden shaft that is square for the socket and then becomes rounded.


Dimensions: The length of the head and socket is 588 mm, the length of shaft being 1480 mm. Weight: The weight of the spear is 1.8 kg.
