Physical Description

The hilt is of brass and slightly octangonal, terminating in a lobed pommel. The quillons form a crescent and are slightly globular. The blade has a short ricasso, which is stamped whith what looks like a star made up of two sets of parallel lines crossing over one another. The rest of the blade is of a flat diamond section with a distint medial ridge, double edged and tapering down to a point which has been slightly bent to one side. There is heavy pitting along the length of the blade.
The hilt is a much later addition to the blade, being an imitation of a 17th Century style. The blade is that of a 16th Century left hand dagger.
