Accessioned while on loan to Edinburgh Castle, returned 1964. Traditionally thought to have been captured during the Jacobite Rebellion of 1745

Physical Description

Made of wood, covered with leather and backed with skin. The front is divided into eigth segments and five concentric bands, tooled with interlace. The divisions are marked by brass studs. There are the remains of straps at the back.
