Physical Description

Hilt: gilt brass, comprising ovoid pommel with tang button, grip, knuckle guard continuing into a quillon with a lobed finial terminating at the edge of the small symmetrical shell guards. All the surfaces are cast with a rococco pattern.
Blade: straight, slender flattened hexagonal section, slightly shortened. In deep fullers on each side of the forte are set small silver ornaments held by steel rivets, with a brass washer at the base of each; five are missing from one side and one is missing from the other. The blade is etched overall with floral and foliate decoration and is gilt.
