Physical Description

Of short waisted form, with cut-out at the neck, narrow shoulders, a medial ridge and a deep flange at the waist. The edges of the neck and arm openings and of the waist flange have plain inward turns. At either side of the chest is a mushroom-headed stud for the attachment of the missing shoulder straps, and a mushroom-headed stud either side of the flange for the missing tassets. At the right side below the arm-opening there is an L-shaped hook secured by a flattened copper rivet. At the left corner only the rivet remains. At each shoulder and side there is a later suspension hole. There is an internal iron stud at each shoulder.
It is painted black externally and rough from the hammer internally. Internally there is a triangular lamination of the surface on the left side of the chest.
