Physical Description

One-piece skull of almond shape with long stalk drawn out of it's apex. At the base of the skull is a narrow brim turned down at the sides and drawn into a point at front and rear. The points extend two inches outwards but the lateral sections of the brim are narrower. The brim has a filed rope-inward turn, flanked on the inner side by a narrow sunken border.
Half an inch upwards from the brim, the skull is pierced each side with six steel lining rivets, all of which are modern replacements. Several have rosette-shaped washers on the outer surface of the skull, and some retain fragments of the lining material on the inner surface.
Plume-holder and cheek-pieces are missing. The helmet is painted black.
