Physical Description

The skull is made in two pieces joined in a low comb. The pivoted peak is narro and flat, with a triple bar faceguard. The neckguard is of one piece embossed to simulate three lames. The main edges have plain inward turns, bordered on the neckguard by nine flush lining rivets and by five more round the front of the skull. The cheekpieces are modern. The surface is black from the hammer, with slight corrosion. Cheekpieces restored in February 1986.
