Physical Description

The breastplate has a raised neck and a medial keel terminating in a point at the waist, which curves down to the centre and has an narrow flange. The arm and neck edges have plain inward turns. At either side of the chest is a mushroom-headed stud for fastening the shoulder straps. There is a proof mark on the right side. It is pierced at either shoulder for suspension. Brown patination anf has been blued and lacquered.

Inscriptions and Marks

Stamped at the neck with a helmeted A and A within a fleur de lys. Inside to the left of the keel is an X and a triangular punch mark.
