Old Tower Collection. Transfered from the Rotunda Museum of Artillery, Woolwich, 1978. Captured from the Frech under Marshall Toiras in 1627.

Physical Description

The breastplate has a central keel, V-shaped waist terminating in a vestigual peascod and deep flange. Plain inward turns at neck, arms, sides and lower edge of flange bordered by double incised lines. At either side of the chest is a stud for fastening the shoulder straps. Engraved TOIRAS across waist. Painted black.
