Transferred from the Rotunda Museum of Artillery, Woolwich, 1978.

Physical Description

Straight sided, short waisted with medial keel and pointed wasit, terminating in vestigual peascod. The lower edge is flanged and ridged. The arm and neck edges are inwardly turned, At either side of the chest is a swivel-hook inside a pierced stud for fastening the shoulder straps.

The tassets are permanenlty attached, of one piece, embossed to simulate seven lames. The main edges are inwardly turned and accompanied by sunken border. They are decorated with three vertical lines of rivets, ending in a triangle of three rivets.
