Transferred to the Tower from Farleigh-Hungerford Castle in 1979.

Physical Description

The breastplate has a medial keel terminating in a blunt point, The arm and neck edges are inwardly turned, At either side of the chest is a swivel-hook inside a pierced stud for fastening the shoulder straps.


The tassets are attached to the flange by a pair of hinges. The tassets are each of one piece, embossed to simulate six lames. They are decorated with three and four vertical lines of rivets, Painted black.
