Physical Description

The steel head is of a diamond cross-section with a short socket at the base. Each face of the head is inlaid in brass with the name MARYA and engraved with the trefoils and fern patterns involving the letters D, S, V or Y and Y or G.
The head is now mounted on a typical medieval crossbow arrow-stele fitted with wooden flight.
