Oil on canvas, framed.
Shows the subject, wearing a dark blue (green) coat with a red collar and large metal buttons, beige breeches and half boots and a round hat, loading his flintlock shotgun, with shot pouch and game bag across his shoulder and a spaniel and dead ?partridge at his feet. House in background is presumably Westhorpe Hall.
