Transferred from the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, Dublin, May 1923, to the Armouries by the War Office (Q.M.G.9), via COD Didcot.

Physical Description

Constructed on the lines of a grenade thrower. The breech end of the stock is carved in high relief as a monster’s head. The Barrel which was probably of thin sheet iron, brass or copper is missing, as is the original lock, that now fitted having come from a 1782 model Prussian service musket.
