Physical Description

A small framed pistol with blued octagonal barrel and frame and hinged loading lever. The cylinder is engraved with a stagecoach hold-up scene. The round brass triggerguard and backstrap are plated. The grips are one piece walnut. An unusual feature of this revolver is that the upper edge of the right recoil shield adjacent to the hammer has been filed away, probably in an effort to prevent fired caps from jamming in the hammer recess and locking up the cylinder.
