Physical Description

The brass-mounted wooden grip is flattened on the inside and expands towards the blade to form a balluster moulding. The cylindrical cap-pommel has a large tang button cast in the shape of a helmeted(?) head, at the rear of which is a pierced hole. Traces of gilding remain.

Inscriptions and Marks

The blade has an illegible inscription and possibly the running fox mark are inscribed on each fuller. On each face is struck the maker's mark of Adam and Eve.
