Presented by the M.O.D. from the material formerly at Glencorse Museum, Glencorse Barracks, Penicuick, Edinburgh. The material was available due to the Museum closing down. The material was aquired through the SUSM. Believed to have previously come from Weedon. Glencorse museum no.120.

Physical Description

Sidelock with foliate engraving as has the cock. The weapon is fully stocked with no butt cap, an escutchion is applied to the back of the butt. There is a short ramrod terminal pipe (ramrod missing), steel triggerguard. Plain barrel with only the word LONDON in script on it, the tang has some engraving onit. The profile of the butt is very narrow
