Physical Description

Twist Barrel with sighting rib, the base of the breech with U shaped mouldings. The ribbon pattern of the twist has been raised by acid treatment, the finish now having a brown patina but probably originally bright. The breech is inlaid in silver with a cartouche containing the addorsed monogram F E and surmounted by an Electoral Bonnet. Lock slightly engraved with foliage. Stock carved in places with scrollwork: brass mounts engraved with scrollwork and foliage, the screw-plate being pierced and chased.
