Physical Description

Stocked to 8 inches of the muzzle, the barrel retained by one double-strapped iron band which also acts a fore-end cap, held in by a screw from the underside.The top jaw of the hammer is missing. Lock is a direct copy of the French Model 1777/02. No provision for ramrod. Thought to have been the Model 1814, Staff Guards Corps Carbine, however it has been more recently identified as the Cavalry Model 1833.
