1/11 1 Contains a corrected typescript of the article as it appeared in the Antiquaries Journal, together with the illustrations which were used in that article and those which appeared in the Connoisseur article, 'Fourteenth century gauntlets' (August 1941), 69-73, including some original watercolour sketches by JGM. Also the original article by D. and R. Gilyard-Beer in The Connoisseur, July, 1941. 'Two unrecorded early gauntlets in Ripon Cathedral'

This in fact contains a version of the article which was published in the Antiquaries Journal, as it was first delivered when JGM exhibited the gauntlets at a meeting in November 1941 and a corrected typescript of the article as finally published
