Scope and Content

In view of the fact that for the first time Japan and the British Empire share a common frontier as a rsult of the Japanese occupation of Indo-China, these pictures are particularly apposite. They are the first pictures to be released of the forces in Burma. Texas mules carry Burmese guns. In the frontier regions of Burma the terrain is rugged, mountainous, jungle-covered. Wheeled transport is hopeless; animal transport is effective. The Indian Mountain Battery here pictured near the frontier carries its guns on mules from Texas.
