Scope and Content

Coloured etching entitled 'The Laplanders return to their native country under the care of Mr. Bullock and his son'.

The scene shows a group of Laplanders in a forested landscape, their hide-covered dwelling behind them.

Mr Bullock and his son are apparently bidding farewell to the group which is being left a variety of presents and gifts including children's toys, games, trinkets, a mirror, furniture and even a grandfather clock.

Drawn and etched by Mr. I. R. Cruikshank.

Published April 8th 1822 by G. Humphrey No. 27 St. James's St. London.'
