One of the oldest known photographs of the Tower of London, RAR.986; I.986 |a Photograph of the Tower of London from the Wharf, about 1910, signed Taylor |b View from the Middle Drawbridge archway and the archway beyond to the entrance of the tramway from the basement of the White Tower. This photograph shows the rebuilt railing of the Middle Drawbridge, which was completed in 1913. The signature J. Taylor is probably that of Sir John Taylor, Senior Architect of the Office of Works. The steps up to the first floor of the White Tower were demolished about 1914
