A.N. KENNARD:
11/1948: Letter to 'Dear Mann' in Dorset from 'Norris Kennard' giving news from the Tower, dated 20/2/48, and describing a visit to Lancashire and the collections at Rufford Old Hall - quite a collection of armour and weapons some of which are quite respectable - and Speke - very little apart from a good pikeman's armour. 'Our own, or rather the Dymoke's pikemen are just about completed. One armour is already in position, the second will come up from the workshops today. They look very well. The third armour must wait until a complete dummy is made up for it. As I write this I have been told that the firearms from Weedon have arrived. I do hope that Dorset is pleasant and that it is not quite as cold as London. Thank Heavens I have just got the office electric fire repaired!',

[Greenwich],
13/1951: Letter to 'Dear James' dated 22nd June 1951, from 'Norris Kennard' from Atlanta Etablissement de Cure, Montana, commenting on acquisitions 'at the Sotheby sale', reporting that he would be returning briefly to London before going on to a 'clinique' at Midhurst, but regretting that he would not be well enough to attend Helen's wedding,
14/1951: Letter to 'Dear James' dated 23 July 1951, from 'Norris Kennard' from 40 Smith Terrace, Chelsea, asking if JGM could 'spare the time to come in one day this week. 'I see the wretched Brown has pushed through the Sunday opening for the Tower. I am glad the Express reported the dissapproving attitude of at least one yeoman warder...'
