Double image of the row of mounted armours along the north side of the Horse Armoury building. Part of the series: 'The Tower of London, Photographed by Special Permission, by J. Davis Burton.' 'No. 5. The Horse Armory.' Four Views, Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 7. This highly interesting Gallery contains equestrian figures of kings and warriors clad in complete suits of armour of the period; and a valuable collection of ancient arms, trophies, etc. ? Double image, labelled, 'No. 11. The Horse Armory (see Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 7). This view shews the south side of the gallery, with footmen; the principal figure being a foot soldier of the time of Henry VIII, and is strongly suggestive of modern crinoline. The walls are profusely decorated with trophies. (Reg. No. 84)'
