8 p. Made from two sheets bifolium and ribboned. There is handwritting on 6 of the 8 sheets. There is a horizontal tear on the back sheet not effecting any of writing. The ribbon ties have left some small dye stains

Sir John May served on Wellington's staff during the Peninsular War and the Waterloo Campaign. His brother, James Frere May, was an Ensign in the 52nd Light Infantry Regiment
